The Division of Mechatronic Systems employs an interdisciplinary team of specialists, who realize complicated mechatronic projects, which synergically combine mechanics, automatics, computer science and electronics. The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art industrial automation technology equipment and the testing facilities, which enable putting into practice the designed systems as well as their comprehensive testing before industrial implementation.
We design automation systems from A to Z. The customer presents the problem – we solve it. We design mechatronic systems, combining mechanical part, electrical part and control with electronics.



Mining Success of the Year 2010

We are pleased to inform that KOMAG together with the Silesian University of Technology and ELSTA, Ltd. were honoured during 20th Jubilee School of Underground Exploitation in the competition “Mining Success of the Year” for development of the solution “Integrated platform for identification and specification of machines, equipment and their components” and its implementation in mines. Mining Chamber of Industry and Commerce and School of Underground Exploitation were the competition organizers.



Examples as regards automation

Test rig for mining hydraulics

The project includes control algorithms, software for controller and operator station, start-up and testing of installation as well as development of mechanical and electrical documentation. The control process has been based on PLC Beckhoff CX controller. Visualization software has been developed in Visual C# language, in Windows CE environment.  



Test rig for the components of mining machines and equipment

The project includes mechanical and electrical modernization of the test rig and development of control algorithms, software for controllers and operator station as well as starting the automated testing process. PLC Mitsubishi FX controller was used. Mitsubishi E700 panel ensures communication with the user. Visualization was made in Citect system.
